Supporting Our Local Communities

South Kent Wind is proud to support a diverse range of organizations and causes that make the communities of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent stronger, healthier, and more vibrant. Pattern Canada is proud to partner with each beneficiary of the South Kent Wind sponsorship program and to assist them in their mission to improve the lives of all area residents. If your organization would like to request a sponsorship, please submit an application form!

One of our core values is supporting communities around our facilities and offices. As such, we have initiated a Covid-19 response giving plan.

South Kent Wind donated iPads to 6 local longterm care facilities in Chatham-Kent. COVID-19 isolation protocols have meant that residents are not allowed to have family visits, which is stressful for them as well as staff. The use of iPads makes it possible for residents to have video calls with their family members, which can boost their spirits and help them feel less isolated. In addition, South Kent Wind purchased assorted pastries and sent them to Revera’s Village on the Ridge long-term care facility in Ridgetown, Ontario.

South Kent Wind also teamed up with North Kent Wind to support the Chatham-Kent Student Nutrition Program, as well as to help Rock Mission provide food to families in crisis during the pandemic. Rock Mission is an organization that provides street-level programs to ensure that the most vulnerable have their basic needs met. Non-perishable items purchased at Mark and Sarah's No Frills grocery store will be delivered to the organization.

In support of our frontline workers, our South Kent Wind team partnered with Entegrus and all our wind energy neighbours to deliver 350 dinners to those who are keeping our communities going.

We also provided support to FREEhelpCK, a group of volunteers that spend their free time preparing and delivering food and grocery shopping for families and seniors in need, as well as continuing to support the Chatham-Kent Animal Rescue.
